Forest Biomaterials Science and Engineering
Program Overview
The Forest Biomaterials Science and Engineering (FBMSE) Program at Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology (MBUST) offers PhD and Master of Applied Science (MAS) degrees focused on the sustainable utilization of forest resources. The program integrates materials science, engineering, and applied research to develop high-value products from timber, non-timber forest products (NTFPs) and biomass. It is designed to respond to Nepal’s national need for value addition to forest resources and the global shift toward renewable and sustainable materials.
