On the occasion of National Science Day 2083 (Ashoj 1), Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology (MBUST) celebrated the day under the tagline “Science for Society: Our Research Journey for a Collective Future” through an inspiring experience-sharing session that highlighted the journeys of people in science. The program began with opening remarks by Dr. Dinesh Raj Bhuju, Academic Vice President of MBUST, who shared the historical background of National Science Day, its establishment, and the importance of celebrating science and scientific contributions in Nepal. This was followed by a short poem on science presented by Mr. Saugat R.C., a graduate research student at MBUST. Mr. Nilkantha Regmi, also a graduate research student at MBUST, then shared his experiences and learning from a two-month research journey at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). The session concluded with Dr. Sandhya Sharma, who reflected on her research journey from zoology to artificial intelligence, demonstrating the power of interdisciplinary scientific exploration. The event celebrated the people behind science, offered insightful experiences, and inspired students, researchers, and faculty to continue pursuing research and innovation for the collective future.
