IoT LABORATORY
Internet of Things Laboratory
The IoT Lab is a multidisciplinary research hub dedicated to designing intelligent, connected systems that address real-world challenges through sensing, data integration, and AI-driven analytics. The lab focuses on the development of smart, scalable, and context-aware IoT solutions for agriculture, wildlife conservation, road safety, and environmental monitoring. Current research initiatives include IoT-enabled wildlife behavior analytics for non-invasive human–wildlife conflict mitigation, AI-IoT–based precision agriculture for enhanced crop management, and smart blind curve alert systems for proactive accident prevention. These projects combine sensor networks, edge computing, real-time data processing, and machine learning to deliver actionable intelligence in dynamic environments. With academic collaboration involving institutions such as Suwa University of Science and National Institute of Information and Communications Technology, the IoT Lab maintains strong international research linkages while focusing on locally grounded innovation. The lab aims to build resilient, intelligent infrastructure systems that enhance safety, sustainability, productivity, and environmental harmony — particularly in geographically and ecologically sensitive regions like Nepal.
