Bioactivity and Cultivation Studies of Wild and Edible Mushrooms of Chitlang
This study integrates taxonomic identification, nutritional analysis, domestication, and cultivation optimization of wild and commercially important mushrooms—including Pleurotus ostreatus, Lentinula edodes, and Agaricus bisporus—with improved agro-waste–based substrates in Nepal. It further evaluates the antimicrobial, anti-biofilm, and bioactive properties, as well as the in silico drug-discovery potential, of indigenous medicinal mushrooms for food, healthcare, and pharmaceutical applications.
Integrated Biological Disease Management in High-Value Crop: Large Cardamom Using Lactic Acid Bacteria and Virus Detection Technology Development
This research focuses on developing sustainable technology to manage the disease of large cardamom. This will ensure the disease-free production of larger cardamom for export.
