Biography

Dr. Sujan Dawadi is an Assistant Professor in the Organic Agriculture Program at Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology (MBUST), Nepal. His research focuses on insect ecology, integrated pest management (IPM), organic agriculture, climate-resilient crop protection, and sustainable agricultural systems. His work integrates field ecology, laboratory experimentation, agricultural entomology, and urban ecology to develop science-based pest management solutions for Nepal and similar agroecosystems.

Before joining MBUST, Dr. Dawadi completed his Ph.D. in Entomology at Purdue University, USA, and his M.S. in Entomology at Tennessee State University, USA. He also received advanced research training at North Carolina State University and worked with the Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC), where he conducted research on alternative pest management, insect–plant interactions, sustainable crop production, and climate change ecology.

At MBUST, Dr. Dawadi is establishing the Insect Ecology and Pest Management (IEPM) Laboratory, which aims to become a national center for research on insect ecology, pest surveillance, biological control, organic crop protection, and decision support for agriculture. His long-term vision is to integrate research, education, and extension to strengthen collaboration among universities, farmers, industries, and government agencies while contributing to Nepal's agricultural transformation.
